Compensation

• Base Salary: $180,000 $275,000 (USD or CAD equivalent)
• Equity: $200K $300K in options
• Bonus: None
• Relocation Assistance: Unknown

Responsibilities

• Partner with acquired SaaS teams to assess and improve product and infrastructure
• Build and deliver full-stack solutions across multiple stacks and business domains
• Lead the design and implementation of new systems and shared services
• Use modern AI tools (e.g., Copilot) to accelerate delivery
• Mentor junior engineers across the portfolio
• Focus on delivering ROI-positive outcomes with minimal management overhead

Must-have qualifications

• Comfortable working 20/80 between frontend and backend (or vice versa)
• Experience across multiple tech stacks, including older systems (e.g., C#, ASP.NET, PHP)
• CS degree from a Top 2050 program or equivalent experience
• Background in high-growth, VC-backed startup (Seed to Series B preferred)
• Able to thrive in ambiguity and high-autonomy environments
• Track record of 01 delivery without detailed PM input
• Business-oriented mindset focused on ROI and impact
• Based in Toronto or SF, or open to relocation

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with DevOps, AI tooling, or diverse SaaS platforms
• Background as a founder or builder of side projects
• Past roles at standout startups (e.g., Ramp, Rippling, YC-backed)
• Familiarity with multiple verticals or microservices
• History of rapid cycles and lean team execution
• Experience mentoring or collaborating across functions

Tech environment

• Tech Stack: Agnostic (includes C#, PHP, modern JS, etc.)
• Projects: Short delivery cycles (12 months); 23 active at a time
• Team: Small, nimble, and high-performance
