Senior Developer Engagement Manager

Roblox Developer Relations is hiring a Senior Developer Engagement Manager to lead recruitment and activation of Studios, indie developers, and high-potential creators.

This role will own strategy, execution, and outcomes for onboarding new groups to Roblox, with a focus on novel, studio-scale content. You will work directly with independent developers, emerging studios, and industry partners across the US and international markets to drive adoption, accelerate development, and build long-term ecosystem relationships.

You will serve as a strategic partner to developers, represent Roblox at industry events, and collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Creator, and International teams to scale Roblox as a destination for high-quality, game development.

You will:

• Own Jumpstart developer recruitment strategy and execution, including identifying, engaging, and onboarding new off-platform studios and high-potential indie developers.


• Build and maintain relationships with external developers, studios, and ecosystem partners, acting as a trusted partner throughout their onboarding and development journey.


• Design and execute global developer engagement programs and events (in-person and virtual) to inspire adoption and accelerate novel content creation.


• Represent Roblox at industry events, conferences, and community meetups, driving awareness and positioning Roblox as a viable platform for studio-scale development.


• Collaborate cross-functionally with DevRel, Business Development, Creator, Marketing, Product, and International teams to align onboarding efforts with platform capabilities and roadmap priorities.


• Track and report on developer recruitment and activation outcomes, including pipeline health, conversion, and content launch milestones.


• Provide structured feedback to internal teams on developer needs, tooling gaps, and friction points to inform platform and program improvements.


• Develop scalable onboarding frameworks, playbooks, and content to support developers transitioning from other engines or platforms.

You Have: 

• 8+ years of experience in developer relations, game development, platform partnerships, community leadership, or technical ecosystem roles.


• Strong understanding of game development workflows, engines, and studio pipelines (Unity, Unreal, Roblox Studio, or similar).


• Experience working with indie developers, studios, or technical communities, including recruiting, partnerships, or ecosystem growth.


• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage developers, executives, and cross-functional stakeholders.


• Strategic mindset with execution bias—comfortable defining strategy and delivering measurable outcomes.


• Experience running developer programs, events, or technical communities at scale.


• Ability to operate globally, including travel for events and studio engagements.


• Cross-functional collaboration experience, working with product, marketing, and technical teams.


• Passion for empowering creators and developers, with a strong belief in community-driven platform growth.
