Dispatch Supervisor
Reports To: Shipping Manager

Supervisory Responsibility: Yes (Delivery Drivers and Dispatch Support)

Schedule: Monday-Friday (flexibility for early start times, extended hours, and business needs)
Hourly Range: $26.00-31.00 hourly

Collision Auto Parts, comprised of three entities that operate distribution facilities across California and New Mexico, is a leading value-added distributor of certified and non-certified aftermarket collision repair parts. COL’s product categories include bumper covers, grilles, fender lines, hoods, tail lamps, head lamps and others. Collision Auto Parts utilizes a robust fleet of trucks to deliver parts to customers on a daily basis. Through tenured supplier relationships and a dedicated commitment to customer service, the Company has been able to develop and maintain strong customer relationships with national and regional MSOs and local collision repair providers.
Job Summary
The Dispatch Supervisor leads delivery operations, driver performance, fleet management, payroll management, and safety execution across Southern California.
This role is based in Santa Fe Springs and is responsible for ensuring alignment, consistency, and accountability.
This is a highly hands-on, operational role focused on driving performance, enforcing standards, reducing risk, and improving execution across all areas of delivery operations.
Specifications of Responsibilities
Operations and Driver Leadership
• Lead, coach, and hold drivers and dispatch staff accountable to performance expectations
• Monitor daily attendance, route execution, and productivity; address issues in real time
• Reinforce standards around safety, customer service, and professionalism
• Support onboarding, training, and ongoing development of drivers
• Partner with Dispatch Assistant and leadership to ensure consistency across locations
• Execute performance management and corrective action in alignment with company practices
Delivery Operations
• Oversee daily delivery execution to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and customer satisfaction
• Identify and resolve missed deliveries, delays, and routing inefficiencies
• Partner with warehouse, sales, accounts receivable, and dispatch teams to align priorities and improve workflow
• Serve as escalation point for delivery-related issues and customer concerns
Fleet and Vehicle Management
• Ensure all vehicles are safe, compliant, and operationally ready
• Oversee inspections, preventative maintenance, and repair coordination
• Monitor vehicle downtime and ensure timely resolution of mechanical issues
• Enforce standards for vehicle use, cleanliness, and care
• Ensure all digital equipment is well maintained and operationally ready
Safety and Compliance
• Enforce all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations
• Ensure compliance with California meal and rest period requirements for non-exempt drivers
• Address unsafe behavior immediately and consistently
• Oversee incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions
Loss Prevention and Risk Management
• Lead efforts to reduce product loss, cash discrepancies, and operational risk
• Track trends in damages, claims, and shrink; implement corrective actions
• Ensure proper documentation and tracking of all incidents and discrepancies
• Partner with leadership on investigations and risk mitigation strategies
Cross-Site Leadership
• Ensure consistent execution, communication, and expectations across San Diego and Santa Fe Springs
• Travel as needed to support operational alignment and leadership presence
• Identify gaps and implement best practices across locations
Hands-On Operational Support
• Provide hands-on support during high-volume periods or staffing gaps
• Assist with dispatch coordination, loading, staging, or deliveries as needed
• Maintain visibility into daily operations to proactively identify and address issues
Performance Metrics and Success Measures
• Reduction in driver incidents, accidents, and safety violations
• Improvement in on-time delivery performance and route efficiency
• Vehicle inspection and preventative maintenance compliance
• Reduction in vehicle downtime and repair-related disruptions
• Reduction in product loss, damages, and cash discrepancies
• Timely and accurate incident reporting and documentation
• Driver retention and overall team stability
• Compliance with California meal and rest break requirements
• Responsiveness and resolution time for operational issues
• Consistency in execution
Qualifications Required
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications preferred
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in delivery, fleet, logistics, or field operations required
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience required
• Experience managing drivers, fleet operations, or distribution environments strongly preferred
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Strong understanding of safety, compliance, and operational best practices
• Ability to analyze issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions
• Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence and hold teams accountable
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, operational environment
• Must pass a background check, motor vehicle check, and drug screening
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
• Ability to frequently lift and carry 50 lbs; occasionally handle up to 75 lbs with assistance or equipment
• Ability to safely operate company vehicles including box trucks (as applicable)
• Ability to work in warehouse and outdoor environments
