Direct Counsel is partnering with a respected law firm seeking an experienced Trial Attorney to join its growing litigation team.
This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned litigator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys taking ownership of cases, and is confident managing matters through all phases of litigation, including trial.
Responsibilities- Manage a diverse litigation caseload from inception through resolution
- Develop case strategy and provide practical legal advice to clients
- Conduct and defend depositions, manage discovery, and oversee motion practice
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents
- Prepare for and participate in mediations, arbitrations, and trials
- Conduct witness preparation and courtroom examinations
- Collaborate with Partners and support staff to deliver exceptional client service
- Maintain accurate case management and meet all litigation deadlines
- Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience , including significant trial preparation experience
- Active membership in the California State Bar in good standing
- Demonstrated experience handling matters through trial or serving in a first- or second-chair capacity
- Strong research, writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills
- Ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Excellent interpersonal and client relationship skills
- Competitive base salary ranging from $200,000 to $250,000 , commensurate with experience
