Case Manager
Job Summary
A nonprofit charitable organization in Los Angeles is seeking a Case Manager to support a program serving women veterans. This temporary Case Manager opportunity is ideal for a compassionate, organized professional who wants meaningful work in a mission-driven environment. This role provides guidance, coordination, documentation, and client support to help veterans work toward stability, independence, housing, employment, and access to needed services. Candidates with case management experience are welcome, and candidates with strong transferable administrative, client service, nonprofit, or social services experience are also encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities - Assist with client intake, eligibility documentation, file setup, and ongoing case documentation in compliance with program standards.- Support veterans by helping assess needs related to housing, employment, education, finances, medical care, legal concerns, family support, and other barriers.
- Coordinate referrals and services with community partners, veteran service providers, healthcare resources, and internal team members.
- Maintain accurate confidential records, progress notes, action plans, discharge summaries, reports, and database entries.
- Conduct client meetings, home visits, life skills support, and follow-up activities as required by program guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, quality management activities, data collection, and other program support duties. Compensation and Benefits - Pay range: $22 to $25 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Support case management activities for veterans participating in a women-focused veteran services program.- Maintain client documentation, intake files, progress notes, action plans, referrals, and required database entries.
- Coordinate services and resources related to housing stability, employment readiness, healthcare access, financial needs, and community support.
- Assist with client meetings, home visits, life skills activities, reporting, and program compliance tasks. - 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in administrative support, client services, nonprofit support, social services, case management, or a transferable field.
- Strong administrative skills, including accurate documentation, data entry, file maintenance, follow-up, and organization.
- Ability to communicate professionally and compassionately with veterans, families, community partners, and internal team members.
- Understanding of confidentiality requirements and ability to follow HIPAA-related standards.
- Comfortable working with individuals facing housing instability, employment barriers, behavioral health needs, substance use recovery needs, or other complex life circumstances.
- Proficiency with basic computer systems, databases, email, and standard office documentation processes.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, sound judgment, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a service-focused environment. Preferred Qualifications - One year of experience in social services or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with veterans, homeless populations, or nonprofit community programs is preferred.
- Case management experience is helpful but not required for candidates with strong transferable administrative and client support skills.

- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company insurance requirements may be helpful for roles involving work-related driving or client transportation.
