Package Designer (Remote)

Job Title: Package Designer 
Location: 100% Remote (U.S.)
Contract Duration: 3 months, possible month-to-month extension
Pay Rate: $28.00/hr 
Work Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM PST

Position Summary:

The Creme Shop is seeking a highly creative and versatile Package Designer to join our team for a 3-month contract. The designer will play a key role in creating visually appealing, marketable product packaging and marketing assets, collaborating with both internal teams and licensing partners such as Hello Kitty, Kakao, Line Friends, BT21, Disney, and others. This position requires a self-motivated individual who can independently manage projects, meet deadlines, and maintain high-quality design standards. Candidates must provide a professional portfolio for review.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design graphics for product packaging, retail displays, and seasonal collections
• Develop intricate package and product designs while adhering to deadlines
• Ensure design revisions are completed accurately and promptly
• Brainstorm and present design concepts, mockups, and creative ideas
• Research industry trends, competitor products, and typography innovations
• Create layouts for print (catalogs, tear sheets, banners, posters, marketing materials), web, and social media
• Retouch digital product imagery and marketing assets
• Prepare print-ready files with bleeds, PDF proofing, and color separations (spot and 4-color process)
• Produce mockups and samples for client presentations and internal reviews
• Collaborate with licensing companies and internal teams to ensure brand alignment
• Manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Required Qualifications:

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, InDesign, or higher)
• BFA, BA, or equivalent experience in Art, Design, or Packaging
• Strong knowledge of and interest in Beauty, Skincare, or Cosmetics
• Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized
• Creative design aesthetic aligned with company brand and product style
• Excellent attention to detail, strong communication, writing, and spelling skills
• Ability to accept feedback and take direction from management and clients
• Self-motivated, independent, and able to execute projects without frequent supervision
• Knowledge of typography and print production requirements
• Professional portfolio demonstrating relevant packaging or product design work

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in package design for consumer products, particularly in beauty or cosmetics
• Familiarity with product photography and digital asset management
• Positive, collaborative, and team-oriented work ethic
• Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
