Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) is seeking individuals with strong attention to detail and budget monitoring experience to apply for the Budget Technician position. Budget Technicians monitor budget and control activities for divisions, school districts, and non-profit agencies; assist in budget preparation and process budget adjustments; compile and prepare various financial reports. The current vacancy is in the Head Start & Early Learning Division. The Well Qualified Candidate Will Possess the Following Knowledge:
  • Principles and techniques of budget development and adjustment

Required Education and Experience Education: A bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting or other fields closely related to the job requirements of this classification from an institute of higher learning recognized by the Council of Higher Education Accreditation. Foreign degrees and credit units require translation and equivalency established by an agency recognized by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Experience: Two years of experience in the preparation and analysis of fiscal operating and budget data. Based on full-time assignment:

  • Although new employees usually begin at the first salary step, advanced salary step placement may be requested
