Human Resources Director (PR)
Achievement House, Inc. and NCI Affiliates are reputable non-profit organizations committed to promoting independence and inclusion for adults with intellectual and/or physical disabilities through vocational training, education, adaptive living skills programs, advocacy, and community living services. We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Director/Workforce Development and Management Director to ensure that all human resources operations are carried out smoothly and effectively for both of the organizations (AHI and NCI). This role is crucial in aligning HR strategies with business objectives to meet both of the organization's needs.
This position will work out of the corporate office in Paso Robles.
Responsibilities
- Oversee recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes.
- Manage Worker's Comp/FMLA/EDD claims, safety, and operations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable State and Federal regulations.
- Maintain compliance with company programs, practices, and policies specific to program and client management.
- Allocate agency resources effectively.
- Handle administrative tasks and advanced computer operations, including data entry, data processing, and payroll software.
- Place job ads and maintain job posters.
- Process and review employment applications to evaluate qualifications or eligibility of applicants.
- Select applicants meeting specified job requirements and schedule interviews.
- Process, verify, and maintain personnel-related documentation.
- Explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants.
- Assist in the preparation of orientation and handbooks for new employees.
- Conduct orientations as needed.
- Administer, implement, and assist employees with benefit enrollment or deletions.
- Track benefit enrollment for the financial department.
- Prepare and track worker’s compensation claims.
Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent required.
- Must have own vehicle, maintain a current California driver’s license, and provide ongoing proof of current state-required auto insurance.
- Must pass a background check.
- Strong English oral and written communication skills required.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, basic math, attention to detail, problem-solving, and the ability to motivate others.
- Previous experience working with developmentally disabled adults preferred.
- SHRM or HRCI certified preferred.
Compensation
Salary: $80,000 - $85,000 annually. The position is full-time, Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
