Position Summary
The Electrician III is a senior-level commercial service electrician responsible for independently troubleshooting, estimating, repairing, installing, and maintaining electrical systems in commercial, industrial, retail, and multifamily facilities.
This position provides field leadership to Electricians I and II, plans work, ensures compliance with all applicable electrical codes and safety standards, and represents Elite Service Experts with professionalism while delivering outstanding customer service.
Essential Responsibilities
Memorize and uphold the Company's Mission Statement and Core Values.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and install commercial electrical systems.
Plan and lay out electrical installations in accordance with project specifications and applicable codes.
Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and specifications.
Prepare material lists and assist with estimating service and project work.
Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, fixtures, lighting systems, motors, controls, and related electrical equipment.
Install and troubleshoot branch circuits and electrical systems from 120V through 480V.
Perform commercial lighting repairs, parking lot lighting repairs, emergency lighting maintenance, tenant improvements, and electrical service work.
Lead and mentor Electricians I and II while promoting safe work practices and quality workmanship.
Ensure all work complies with NEC requirements and local electrical codes.
Communicate professionally with customers, property managers, inspectors, and coworkers.
Maintain company vehicles, tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area.
Perform trenching, excavation, concrete cutting, and other physical work as required.
Safely work from ladders, lifts, scaffolding, rooftops, and other elevated work areas.
Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
Obtain permits and coordinate inspections when required.
Complete service documentation accurately and promptly.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
California State-Certified General Electrician Certification (Required)
Valid California Driver License with an acceptable driving record. (Required)
Minimum five (5) years of commercial electrical experience.
Strong troubleshooting abilities on commercial electrical systems.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to supervise, train, and mentor junior electricians.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Ability to safely operate power tools, testing equipment, ladders, lifts, and related equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with commercial service work.
Experience with lighting controls and emergency lighting systems.
Experience with motors, controls, and tenant improvements.
Experience preparing estimates and material takeoffs.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.
CPR/First Aid Certification.
Physical Requirements
Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Stand, kneel, crouch, climb, and work in confined spaces.
Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Work from ladders, scaffolding, rooftops, and aerial lifts.
Compensation
$35.00–$42.00 per hour , depending on experience, certification, and demonstrated ability.
