Junior DevSecOps Engineer
Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking an enthusiastic and talented junior DevSecOps engineer to build on ongoing modernization efforts for the US Navy with enabling microservices to be rapidly built, tested, fielded, and integrated to container orchestration platforms through heavy use of automation tools and processes. This hybrid support role (75% remote, 25% onsite at a government facility) in the San Diego area is for folks who like being close to the work—building pipelines, automating infrastructure, fixing what slows teams down, and adapting when a program needs something different.

U.S. Navy warfighters need your help to rapidly deliver cutting edge software solutions to the fleet for planning and executing missions for carrier strike groups conducting operations around the world. Mission planners need to collaborate in order plan for anti-surface warfare, anti-submarine warfare, ballistic missile defense, autonomous drone swarm information gain, and a wide range of other mission areas.
What you'll do:
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines teams rely on
- Automate infrastructure so environments are predictable and supportable
- Support containerized platforms in secure, regulated environments
- Work directly with software and cyber engineers to solve delivery problems
- Adjust to different program needs, priorities, and technical stacks

- Minimum 2 years’ experience with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA or 6 years with no degree
- Secret clearance or be able to obtain one
- U.S. citizenship
- Must have strong Kubernetes work experience

- Automation and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or related field
- Demonstrated experience with:
