Senior Accountant
Patrick Ta Beauty is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team, reporting directly to the Controller. Working alongside two existing Senior Accountants, this role will own specific accounting functions including inventory reconciliations, cost accounting, general ledger management, and financial reporting. The Senior Accountant will serve as a key partner to the Controller and finance team, taking ownership of complex accounting processes and contributing to the continued growth and financial integrity of the company. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in general accounting with specific expertise in inventory management, cost analysis, and month-end close processes. You'll join a collaborative finance team where we view ourselves as business partners to the brand — not just back-office processors. Experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG), beauty, or retail industries is highly valued. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and is ready to build and refine processes — not just follow existing ones. Extra consideration will be given to candidates with experience in high-growth or startup environments. RESPONSIBILITIES
Inventory & Cost Accounting
- Own the inventory sub-ledger including reconciliation between NetSuite and third-party logistics (3PL) provider(s) and manufacturers; investigate variances, determine and recommend inventory adjustments.

- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries as part of the monthly and year-end close process.
- Support the month-end close process (currently 7 business days) while continuously identifying opportunities to streamline and reduce the close cycle.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and management reports, including variance analysis and commentary for leadership.
- Perform accounts payable processing including 3-way matching, invoice entry, vendor setup and maintenance, and payment scheduling.
- Manage accounts receivable functions including customer invoicing, cash application, collection efforts, and aging analysis.
- Manage customer chargebacks including trend analysis, dispute resolution, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to reduce chargeback occurrence.
- Reconcile bank and credit card activities, record cash transfers, and ensure accurate recording of all transactions.
- Analyze and accrue trade spend including co-op advertising and promotional allowances.
- Support the annual audit process; manage assigned PBC (Prepared By Client) requests, coordinate with external auditors, and resolve audit inquiries.
- Own state and local tax compliance including working with outside tax accountants for sales tax filings and year-end 1099 issuance.
- Prepare schedules supporting the external tax provider, including state apportionment.
- Document and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls as the company scales.
- Partner cross-functionally with operations on inventory reconciliations.
- Collaborate with fellow Senior Accountants and the Controller to ensure consistent processes and knowledge-sharing across the finance team.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience; CPA preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with inventory reconciliations, physical counts, and cost accounting.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, month-end close processes, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in NetSuite required.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, data analysis).
- Experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG), beauty, retail, or e-commerce industries strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in a high-growth or startup environment is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with the broader finance team.
