Bartender

Primary Function

The primary function of this pivotal role is to serve food and beverage to guests in the bar in alignment with the mission and core values of the company.

Essential Responsibilities

All job duties are to be performed in accordance with Company Policies & Procedures, Safety Regulations and other legal regulations and requirements (California Health & Safety Code, Division 104, Part 7 - Retail Food). Essential responsibilities include the following. Please note that additional duties may be assigned at a future date:

  • Greet guests in a warm and friendly manner; take food and drink orders accurately; deliver food and drink orders in a timely manner; check back with guests often to inquire how their dining experience is progressing and to ensure customer satisfaction; maintain cleanliness throughout.
  • Provide a fun, superior gaming and dining experience by engaging and entertaining the bar guests.
  • Follow safe California Food Handlers guidelines consistently, and notify the Food and Beverage Manager of any deviations.
  • Monitor and enforce all the principles of RBS (Responsible Beverage Service), liquor license guidelines, and our company’s Alcohol Consumption policy.
  • Provide a fun, superior gaming and dining experience by establishing and maintaining a good rapport with guests to promote continued patronage.
  • Report unsafe practices or hazardous conditions to the CSM, Security, Restaurant General Manager or General Manager.
  • Report to CSM or Security any individuals in the casino who appear to be underage, intoxicated, whose conduct appears to be illegal, or who poses a threat to the Company's operations.
  • Attend annual BSA/AML training, as scheduled.

Education and/or Experience: Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills are required. High school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required. A minimum of 1 year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred, but not required.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of guests or team members of organization.

Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills. Ability to accurately calculate addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in an efficient manner.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Conditions of Employment

This job has conditions of employment essential to the position that include:

  • Must be able successfully pass a thorough background check from the City in order to obtain a Gaming License
  • Must be able to renew and maintain an active Gaming License according to the city’s requirements
