Shift Type: Saturday-Wednesday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Day shift

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $80 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in the Medical OT unit
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments accurately while monitoring patient responses
• Document patient care thoroughly and accurately using Cerner electronic health records
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure positive patient outcomes
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients, families, and staff

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Prior experience with CDCR or Cerner is required
• Strong clinical skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting
• Commitment to providing excellent patient care throughout the 26-week assignment

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with Cerner electronic health record system
• Familiarity with CDCR documentation and workflows
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and work collaboratively
• Knowledge of infection control practices and patient safety standards
