Accountant Trainee - Telework Hybrid

Job Description and Duties

This position is located at the DMV Headquarters in Sacramento.

Under the direct supervision of the Accounting Administrator I (Supervisor) Reconciliation and Financial Reporting Unit, the Accountant Trainee is responsible for posting miscellaneous journals and imports in the Oracle, Administrative & Financial System to revenue, reimbursement and liability accounts. Reconcile various balances recorded in the General Ledger which include the monthly reconciliations for various accounts. Assist with updating and tracking various monthly revenue, reimbursement and expenditure reports. Assisting and providing backup to daily cashier duties and developing, updating and revising desktop procedures as needed.

Working Conditions

Part-time telework available. Telework requires California residency. This position offers hybrid telework opportunities; however, telework arrangements are subject to change at any time based on State & departmental operational needs. Employees may be required to report to the office as necessary.
