In this unit-based leadership role, you’ll oversee the surgery service line as part of a rotating, multidisciplinary team within a hospital setting. Responsibilities
- Lead the surgical unit as RN Nurse Lead, collaborating with the Nurse Manager, Director, physicians, and bedside staff.
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing and ancillary personnel across multiple levels, using professional judgment and supervisory discretion.
- Ensure patients receive evidence-based, cost-effective care that promotes positive outcomes and high patient safety.
- Assess patient experiences and implement quality improvement steps to enhance satisfaction and overall care quality.
- Coordinate care plans, participate in rounds, and ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Support staffing, resource utilization, and interprofessional communication to maintain safe, efficient operations.

Requirements
- Active California RN license
- Experience in unit-based leadership and supervision within a surgical or inpatient setting
- Strong collaboration with physicians and a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to work rotating 8-hour shifts (5x8) and adapt to changing patient needs
- Willingness to commit to a 13-week travel assignment starting 06/08/2026
