Job Description and Duties
Effective July 1, 2025in accordance with the applicable Memorandum of Understanding, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented in response to the status of the State budget. PLP 2025 requires each full-time employee in Bargaining Unit 01 , and related Excluded, Exempt and Statutory Exempt employees, will have their base salary reduced by three percent and will receive five PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027 . Salaries do not reflect the recent changes.
Analyst IIUnder the direction of the Supervisor I, Classification and Pay (C&P), the Analyst II provides exceptional customer and expertise on a full range of the more complex and sensitive issues related to C&P.
Analyst I
Under the supervision of the Supervisor I, Classification and Pay (C&P), the Analyst I provides exceptional customer service and expertise on a full range of the less complex and sensitive issues related to C&P.
This position is located in Human Resources (HR), which delivers innovative programs and services that attract, cultivate, and serve a diverse, highly-qualified workforce. California Correctional Health Care Services’ HR professionals provide outstanding customer service, provide tools and resources for job development and advancement, and ensure fairness and accuracy in all aspects of HR.

Working Conditions
CCHCS, HQ is located less than 30 minutes from Sacramento and Lodi, the progressive city of Elk Grove offers a great mix of newly developed housing, business projects, and recreational opportunities. You will enjoy working at our campus-style office complex with free parking, and perhaps even call Elk Grove home.
The position(s) is eligible for hybrid telework, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.

In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
- Knowledge of the State of California Civil Service laws, rules, policies, and procedures
- Service oriented with the ability to remain flexible and adapt to rapid changes in priorities and work assignments while maintaining a high degree of accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to think critically and research, interpret data and apply laws, rules, bargaining unit contracts, practices and principles as they apply to personnel management and human resources
- Ability to clearly present complex and accurate information from thorough and complete analyses
- Ability to develop and present decisions and facilitate discussions related to Classification and Pay topics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio)
