Job Description and Duties

This is a Limited Term position for 12 months and may be extended for 24 months or may become permanent.


Under the direction of the Attorney Supervisor and Supervisor I, the Analyst II performs a variety of analytical work related to the appeals process for CalVCB.



This position provides hybrid telework opportunities, with employees required to work in person at least two (2) days per week and as needed/required. Beginning July 1, 2026, employees will be required to work in-person at least four (4) days per week in alignment with Executive Order N-22-25.



This position is designated under the Conflict-of-Interest Code. The position is responsible for making or participating in the making of governmental decisions that may potentially have a material effect on personal financial interests. The appointee is required to complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment and once per year. Failure to comply with the Conflict-of-Interest Code requirements may void the appointment.


This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without the need for visa sponsorship by the start date of employment. We do not accept STEM-OPT. CalVCB is located at 400 R Street in downtown Sacramento, blocks from the light rail and public transportation and within walking distance to restaurants, Sacramento River levee bike trail, the State Capitol, farmer’s markets and the Golden 1 Arena. The Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is a narrative discussion regarding how the applicant’s education, training, experience, and skills meet the criteria outlined below.
