The Opportunity

We are seeking a Cash Application Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately processing and allocating incoming payments to customer accounts, reconciling payments, resolving discrepancies and maintaining accurate financial records.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Receiving, posting and accurately applying cash receipts including wire transfers, ACH credits, credit card payments and check and lockbox deposits.
  • Reconcile payments against invoices and other relevant documents to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
  • Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, such as duplicate payments, incorrect amounts, or missing information.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer accounts and payments, ensuring that financial records are up to date.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure all transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.

  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with accounting software such as Microsoft Business Central.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar role, with experience in collections preferred.

Compensation

  • Compensation: $20 - $25 an hour, based on experience and location.
  • Classification: Non-Exempt, subject to all applicable state and federal laws.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, at-will position with typical business hours.

Work-from-home opportunities are available .

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer (if applicable).
  • Frequent walking throughout the facility and between departments as part of daily operational tasks (if applicable).
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 20-25 pounds.
  • Ability to navigate each department and the company’s facilities as needed.
