Position: Product Development (PD) Project Manager

We are looking for a highly organized and skilled Product Development (PD) Project Manager to lead client projects from initial quoting to delivery, technical transfer, and internal development initiatives. In this role, you will manage comprehensive project plans, including dependencies, owners, deadlines, and durations, and collaborate with the Product Development Manager and internal teams to ensure smooth execution.

The ideal candidate is someone with the experience and confidence to engage with various department managers and clients in a professional manner while keeping projects on track. You'll work closely with PD Coordinators to ensure that projects progress at each phase and will provide regular updates to cross-functional teams to maintain clear communication.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the sales team to ensure project briefs are fully completed, providing clear communication of project scope, client requirements, budget constraints, and any restrictions to ensure seamless execution and a positive client experience.

Partner with the costing team to ensure timely processing of quotes.

Work alongside the R&D team to ensure submissions stay on track and within budget, proactively managing client expectations with clear communication of any necessary adjustments.

Coordinate with purchasing and operations teams to ensure the on-time delivery of raw materials and components for a successful pilot or initial production run. Participate in or lead kickoff, first fill, and post-production review meetings.

Collaborate directly with Customer Service to successfully coordinate initial product runs.

Communicate proactively with stakeholders and executive management, providing status updates, financial health reports, risk mitigation strategies, and identifying dependencies across projects.

Identify potential roadblocks in relation to budgets, resources, and timelines, working with the Director of Product Development and PD Coordinators to find solutions.

Manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize workloads based on business goals.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Product Development team and Organizational Development functions through updates, knowledge sharing, and refining tools and processes.

Lead cross-functional teams throughout all phases of product development, from initial concepts to final product delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Foster a high-performance, accountability-based culture within the product development teams.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in customer service, business development, or project management, ideally within the manufacturing or packaging of cosmetics, personal care, food, or pharmaceutical products.

Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines with a keen attention to detail.

Proven experience leading and managing multiple projects through entire development lifecycles.

Knowledge of Product Development and contract manufacturing processes and systems.

Strong critical thinking, integrity, and problem-solving skills with the ability to balance business considerations and make decisions confidently.

Proven ability to influence teams and processes, even without direct authority.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels, both internally and externally.

Ability to work independently and make decisions based on limited information.

Strong computer skills, including intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Flexibility to adjust work hours as needed to accommodate company or client priorities.

Ability to work in person on-site.

Salary Range:

The salary for this role ranges from $68,000 to $80,000 annually, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
