Staff Software Engineer - Developer Productivity

About the role:
You will be responsible for driving and delivering initiatives aimed at boosting Developer productivity at Rubrik. You are expected to lead complex, ambiguous and novel technical challenges related to Developer Experience at Rubrik by leveraging advancements in the field of AI.
What you'll do:
- Lead multi-quarter roadmap and initiatives for providing scalable, extensible and stable AI agents platform and other Developer Experience initiatives
- Contribute to engineering efforts from planning and organization to execution and delivery to solve complex engineering problems in the area of Developer productivity apps and Developer workflows being used by Rubrik Engineers.
- Work with team members on detailed and constructive design and code reviews
- Collaborate with the broader engineering team on design or architectural decisions
- Be a role model for showcasing best practices, processes and culture to help Engineering teams improve their productivity
- Continually research and evaluate external tools, industry trends, and emerging technologies to innovate and propose cutting-edge solutions
- Mentor engineers in the immediate team
Experience you'll need:
- BS or MS in Computer science or related field with a minimum of 8+ years of relevant work experience
- 4+ years of experience in technical leadership role with a proven track record
- Experience with system design, distributed systems architecture, testing and launching software products / platforms at scale.
- Demonstrated experience applying Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML), particularly LLMs and AI agents to solve complex software engineering challenges.
- Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages like Python, Scala, Go.
- Experience building developer tools to improve developer velocity.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, including quickly getting up to speed with new technologies.
- The ability to drive clarity, generate energy, and deliver results in nascent, ambiguous, and rapidly evolving technical domains.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence and align stakeholders at all levels, from senior engineers to VPs.
The minimum and maximum base salaries for this role are posted below; additionally, the role is eligible for bonus potential, equity and benefits. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the role based on U.S. location. Within the range, the salary offered will be determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US Pay Range
$210,500—$315,800 USD
