Position Summary

The Information Technology Division (ITD) Project and Billing Support Coordinator reports to the IT Network and Infrastructure Operations Lead and the Director of ITNI. This role plays a crucial part in the successful execution of the Zoom Phone migration project. Key responsibilities include supporting the IT Division in all aspects of the Zoom Phone migration, including billing, communications, customer coordination, data entry, and other necessary tasks. Additionally, the coordinator assists with the closeout of ITNI billing orders and reviews and updates data needed for the Zoom Phone transition. They will also collaborate with the ITFA Billing Team to migrate data to the new campus billing system.

This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication. By contributing to this critical project, you'll help enhance our communication infrastructure and improve overall efficiency.

This is a part-time (.75 time-base), benefits eligible, temporary position anticipated to end one year from the start date with the possibility of reappointment for an additional year. This position is designated non-exempt under FLSA and is eligible for overtime compensation. Standard SDSU work hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but may vary based on operational needs.

The individual hired into this role will work on campus at SDSU in San Diego.

Department Summary

The purpose of the Information Technology Division (ITD) is to provide the technology that empowers SDSU's success. The IT Division includes several departments and areas with the shared mission to leverage people and technology to support SDSU's commitment to innovative teaching, research, and service. The IT Division is led by the Chief Information Officer, who is ultimately responsible for developing the long-term infrastructure, services, and strategy necessary to support the University's mission of learning, discovery, and engagement. The IT Division has the stewardship responsibility for core IT assets on campus and the obligation to provide the services, training, and community building necessary to realize the benefits of those investments across the San Diego State University community. The IT Division is made up of 185 staff and 28 administrators.

IT Network Infrastructure (ITNI) is responsible for providing network infrastructure to support the university's IT needs. ITNI supports the campus networks and Internet access, including all wired and wireless networking. ITNI provides campus telephone service for faculty and staff, including voice mail, call centers, and other voice services. We install and support campus fiber and copper cable infrastructure for all campus buildings. ITNI supports these services on the main campus, residence halls, IV-Calexico, IV-Brawley, and off-site foundation buildings.

Education and Experience

Entry to this classification requires fundamental written and oral communication skills, including a sound foundation in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation; an ability to understand standard office procedures; an ability to operate standard office equipment; an ability to learn office technology systems; an ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations; and typing and keyboard skills.

These entry qualifications would normally be obtained through completion of a high school program or its equivalent and some experience in an office environment.

Key Qualifications

  • Experience resolving campus billing transactions/issues using the current SDSU Pinnacle platform to better anticipate/analyze needs during migration to the new billing platform.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits

Starting salary upon appointment is not expected to exceed $3,250 per month (part-time rate).

Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department's fiscal resources.

CSU Classification Salary Range: $2,899 - $4,752 per month.
