Litigation Secretary
Our client, a well-established San Jose law firm, is seeking an experienced Litigation Secretary to support a busy team of attorneys. This is a full-time, on-site role ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, format, and finalize legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, TOA/TOC, and correspondence
- Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, depositions, and coordinate logistics
- Prepare and submit e-filings in Federal and State courts in compliance with court rules
- Maintain and organize client files and case documents
- Process expense reports and administrative requests
- Communicate with clients and support overall case workflow and deadlines
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of litigation secretary experience in a law firm
- Advanced MS Word skills (legal formatting required)
- Strong knowledge of Federal and State e-filing procedures
- Excellent organization, multitasking, and proofreading skills
- Experience managing calendars and supporting multiple attorneys
- Familiarity with NetDocs or similar systems (preferred)
- Professional, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
