Job Description and Duties

The Employment Development Department (EDD) is looking for a highly motivated team player to join the Human Resource Services Division's Project Management Unit (PMU). This position serves as the business analyst on Human Resources systems projects, serving as the subject matter expert and liaison between the Information Technology Branch and the Human Resource Services Division. This position interacts with employees, managers, attendance clerks, and personnel specialists within the Department regarding their roles within the systems. In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
- Customer service experience
- Experience with Microsoft Suite, especially Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with automated systems, with preference to Human Resources' systems
- Experience writing persuasive documents as well as business process documents
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of the State Payroll System
- Experience working with a project team
