Parts Room Clerk
:
As an integral member of the Maintenance Department, the Parts Room Specialist is responsible for preparing material for work orders, inventory management and maintaining/ensuring proper inventory levels of material for Montebello production facility in regards to maintenance operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures materials for planned work orders are kitted per the weekly maintenance schedule
- Ensures all materials are received in, stored and inventoried properly
- Maintains and sets reorder points for inventory in accordance to maintenance needs
- Supervises a team of Parts Room Attendants. Performs job training and conducts performance reviews for continuous employee development.
- Creates new material item numbers and receives them into inventory with proper storage
- Maintains all material items with proper technical information
- Maintains asset spare parts lists to ensure they are accurate and up to date
- Ensures inventory accuracy through cycle counting and other systems
- Additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
· Ability to become certified in operating a forklift, overhead crane and respirator
· Ability to read and write in English to complete required documentation
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google applications
- Must have experience with CMMS
- Ability to read/understand technical manuals, blue prints and drawings
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical two year degree or equivalent experience in parts, planning or inventory
- Good organizational, planning and multi-tasking skills
- Critical thinking, process and troubleshooting skills
- Mathematical and administrative skills
Minimum Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
3+ years' experience with maintenance, parts or planning
