Job Title: SAP ABAP Developer (Web Dynpro & Workflow)
Location: Raleigh, NC or Foster City, CA

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Web Dynpro ABAP and SAP Workflow for a fully onsite role in Foster City, CA or Raleigh, NC. The ideal candidate will be proficient in building custom applications, enhancing standard SAP functionality, and supporting workflow-driven business processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and enhance SAP applications using ABAP, ABAP OO, Web Dynpro ABAP, and SAP Workflow.
• Build and support custom Web Dynpro applications with UI logic, component configuration, and backend integration.
• Develop and troubleshoot complex SAP Business Workflows, including custom tasks, events, rules, and triggering mechanisms.
• Work on enhancements, user exits, BADIs, BAPIs, and IDoc interfaces.
• Collaborate with functional teams to analyze requirements and create technical specifications.
• Develop reports, forms (SmartForms/Adobe Forms), conversions, interfaces (RFC, IDoc, Web Services), and batch jobs.
• Optimize code performance and ensure adherence to SAP development standards.
• Provide onsite support for production issues, testing cycles, and release activities.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams in FI, CO, MM, SD, and HR modules depending on workflow requirements.

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience:

• 8–12+ years of SAP ABAP development experience.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Web Dynpro ABAP (UI components, views, controllers, context mapping, OADP, FPM is a plus).
• Solid experience in SAP Business Workflow (creation, enhancement, troubleshooting, event linkage, deadline monitoring).
• Proficient in ABAP OO, classical ABAP, enhancements, BADIs, user exits, and BAPIs.
• Experience with interfaces (IDoc/ALE, RFC, SOAP/REST services).
• Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.
• Ability to work onsite with business users and participate in workshops, UAT, and daily operations.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Nice To Have:

• Experience with S/4HANA ABAP, CDS Views, AMDP.
• Exposure to Fiori/UI5 development or workflow-to-Fiori inbox integration.
• Experience in Life Sciences, Pharma, or High-Tech industries.
• SAP Certification.
