Job Summary

SJJ Insurance Services is hiring experienced, licensed Commercial P&C Agents who are ready to plug in and produce immediately.

This is a pure commercial lines sales role focused on construction-heavy accounts —including general contractors, electricians, painters, and builder risk.

If you already know how to sell insurance and want to focus strictly on revenue-generating activity (not admin work) , this is a high-leverage opportunity.

We are not a personal lines shop. This role is 100% commercial-focused .

What You’ll Do

Commercial Sales (Construction Focus)

• Prospect and close commercial P&C accounts within the construction space

• Target contractors, subcontractors, and builder risk opportunities

• Write policies including:

  • General Liability

  • Workers’ Compensation

  • Business Owner’s Policies (BOP)

  • Commercial risk packages

Pipeline & Production

• Manage your own pipeline and production goals

• Quote, present, and close policies efficiently

• Leverage multi-carrier access to win business

Client Relationship Management

• Build long-term relationships with business owners

• Provide tailored coverage solutions based on risk exposure

• Maintain retention through proactive service and communication

Required Qualifications (Pre-Screening)

• Must be 18+ years old

• Must have a valid driver’s license

• Must be able to pass a background check

• Must be a licensed Property & Casualty (P&C) agent

• Must have commercial insurance sales experience

What We’re Looking For

Must-Have

• Proven experience in commercial P&C sales

• Ability to operate as a plug-and-play producer

• Strong understanding of construction-related risks and coverage

• Confident closer with strong communication skills

Preferred

• Existing book of business or strong network in construction

• Experience placing contractor-heavy accounts

• Familiarity with multi-carrier quoting environments
