Senior Product Manager - New Products
About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead new product development on the Workforce team at Samsara.
For too long, the world of physical operations has been forced to rely on manual data entry, paper forms, and systems that haven’t changed in decades. At Samsara, the New Products team operates like a startup within the larger organization, tasked with rapidly identifying and building the next wave of transformative products. We are a full-stack group, developing intelligent workflows, automations, and AI-powered solutions that modernize the most complex frontline operations.
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Product Manager to drive the vision, strategy, and execution of Samsara’s Workforce Products. Your mission is to identify pain points within our customers’ workforces and turn them into scalable products that power our customers’ operations and accelerate Samsara’s revenue growth. In this highly cross-functional role, you’ll partner with engineering, design, and other product teams across Samsara to turn bold ideas into impactful products that redefine what’s possible in physical operations.
This is a hybrid position requiring 2-3 days per week in our San Francisco, CA office and 2-3 days working remotely. Relocation assistance will not be provided for this role.
You should apply if:
- You want to impact the industries that run our world: Your efforts will result in real-world impact—helping to keep the lights on, get food into grocery stores, reduce emissions, and most importantly, ensure workers return home safely.
- You are the architect of your own career: If you put in the work, this role won’t be your last at Samsara. We set up our employees for success and have built a culture that encourages rapid career development, countless opportunities to experiment and master your craft in a hyper growth environment.
- You’re energized by our opportunity: The vision we have to digitize large sectors of the global economy requires your full focus and best efforts to bring forth creative, ambitious ideas for our customers.
- You want to be with the best: At Samsara, we win together, celebrate together and support each other. You will be surrounded by a high-calibre team that will encourage you to do your best.
In this role, you will:
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for new Workforce products—from customer discovery and market validation through launch and scale.
- Conduct deep market and user research to uncover unmet needs in physical operations and translate them into differentiated product opportunities.
- Define and communicate a compelling product vision and roadmap that balances customer value, technical feasibility, and business impact.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and design to build full-stack solutions, leveraging your technical understanding (including AI/ML capabilities) to make tradeoffs and accelerate delivery.
- Identify opportunities to apply AI to real-world operational workflows—whether automating manual processes, structuring unstructured data, or delivering smarter decision support for frontline workers.
- Partner with go-to-market teams (sales, customer success, marketing) to win strategic deals, scale adoption, and inform future product direction.
- Establish success metrics, track performance, and iterate quickly to ensure products deliver measurable impact for customers and revenue growth for Samsara.
- Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team).
Minimum requirements for the role:
- 7+ years of product management experience, including launching new products or markets from 0-to-1 through scale.
- Strong customer orientation with a proven ability to translate complex, real-world workflows into intuitive, scalable software products.
- Demonstrated experience building AI-powered products or working with AI/ML technologies to solve customer problems.
- Technical fluency in concepts like data modeling, APIs, and UX data presentation, with the ability to dive deep with engineers and make informed tradeoffs.
- Strong analytical skills and experience using both qualitative insights and quantitative data to drive product decisions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and driving clarity to deliver innovative solutions that align with customer needs and business outcomes.
An ideal candidate also has:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in a technical field; an MBA is a plus.
- Experience with AI, technical, and UX-focused development.
- Familiarity with B2B SaaS products and working with B2B sales teams.
- Familiarity with operational challenges and needs in industries such as transportation, logistics, and field services.
