Description

- Assists providers in performing office procedures and duties related to patient care - Performs basic Medical Assistant functions: rooming, specimen testing, etc. - Acquires patient histories and document in patient medical records - Reviews each patient orders for completeness and cancels any order not done prior to patient check out - Reviews each patient referral and laboratory requisition for correct patient and handle data entry - Obtains waivers and consents and documents thoroughly using electronic medical record - Prepares exam rooms immediately after patient’s visits - Maintains rooms stocked with supplies and are disinfected - Assures the patient is checked out and has been provided the Patient Summary Plan - Reviews the Patient Summary Plan to assure the patient clearly understands all instructions based on direction from providers

- High School diploma MUST - Candidates with at least five (5) years of experience will be considered in lieu of diploma - Medical Assistant Diploma/Certificate - Minimum of 2 years in a medical practice environment - BLS through American Heart Association

This is a Contract position based out of Los Angeles, CA 90059.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
