What you can expect

We are looking for a software engineer to join our AI team to build next-generation web applications. These will provide our users with an amazingly seamless experience. You will work closely with the Researchers and ML Engineers to create Machine Learning applications. You will help build backend web applications by developing REST Microservices. You will write Java code to integrate Machine Learning services and 3rd Party CRM Applications. You will automate testing, do configuration for AWS deployment, and support applications in production.

With eight specialized departments, the engineering team functions as a highly collaborative, diverse powerhouse. Each department mission is to deliver seamless and innovative communication solutions. These range from software development and machine learning to quality assurance teams that work to create and maintain Zoom's user-friendly interfaces and robust infrastructure. The team continues to push the boundaries of communication technology, bringing people together regardless of their physical distance.

What we're looking for

• Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Related Field

• Understand transport protocols, web applications

• Develop in Java to develop multi threaded, low latency applications

• Develop microservices in REST or gRPC for web applications and data interfaces with Spring framework

• Build database schema develop queries to support application and data interfaces with DynamoDB, NoSQL

• Experience designing indexes and develop aggregate queries for analytics and searches with Elasticsearch

• Build data pipelines between applications with Kafka

• Manage and configure deployments for high availability. Use AWS tools to monitor systems and alert issues utilizing AWS

• Use JUnit, JMeter to automate unit tests, and load tests

Salary Range or On Target Earnings:

Minimum:

$94,600.00

Maximum:

$218,700.00

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations.
