OD CNC Grinder

About the Role

We're looking for a skilled OD/CNC Grinder who takes pride in precision work. In this role, you'll set up and operate precision cylindrical grinding machines to produce parts that meet exact customer and engineering specifications. You'll work from blueprints and tech sheets, use precision measuring instruments, and play a direct role in keeping quality and production on track.

This is a hands-on position for someone who knows their equipment, works with intention, and holds themselves to a high standard.

What You'll Do

• Set up and operate grinding machines to grind metal parts per customer specifications and performance standards
• Read and interpret blueprints, tech sheets, and purchase orders to ensure parts are ground to correct dimensions
• Use precision measuring instruments and enter data into the Statistical Process Control (SPC) system
• Follow scheduled workflow priorities and communicate any deviations to the department manager
• Make equipment adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency
• Monitor equipment maintenance with guidance from the Lead Grinder or Sr. Specialist
• Maintain a safe and compliant work environment at all times

What You Bring

• Hands-on experience with cylindrical grind machines, including Cincinnati Centerless Grinders and/or CNC Studer grinders
• Ability to read blueprints, tech sheets, and purchase orders with accuracy
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools such as micrometers and height gauges
• Basic math and English reading skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Aerospace industry experience is a plus
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when production demands it
