Medical Front Office Assistant - FLOAT
Rehab United is a family-owned private practice specializing in physical therapy, massage/wellness, and fitness, with a total of seven locations in San Diego, CA. Our company is positioned to grow exponentially in the coming years, and we are looking for an upbeat, friendly, dedicated, results-driven, rock-star Front Office Assistant to join our team and help us provide exemplary service and support to our patients and clients across Northern San Diego County. You must be willing to travel to primarily work at our Carlsbad, Escondido, and Carmel Valley clinic locations.
The Front Office Assistant oversees the patient experience. They deliver the Rehab United brand of service with the utmost kindness, compassion, professionalism and efficiency. NOTE : A Front Office Float must have a reliable mode of transportation and be willing to travel to all San Diego Rehab United clinic locations to accommodate clinic needs.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients when they arrive to the office.
- Have patient complete required forms, obtains necessary signatures, and accurately enter the patient information for registration.
- Ensure all insurance, personal, and health information is obtained and verified prior to each patient's appointment.
- Maintain daily scheduling of patient appointments, and collaborate with therapists and Clinic Director to accommodate patient/therapist needs.
- Respond to heavy volume of incoming calls for appointments and other requests.
- Collect patient co-payments, deductibles, and prior balances.
- Explain payment policy/billing procedures and financial responsibility to patients.
- Prepare and properly file patient forms.
- Balance daily monies and receipts, and ensure accuracy of fee tickets and batch summaries.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills:
- Superb customer service & communication skills
- Attention to detail, organization & prioritization
- Efficient time management, particularly in high pressure scenarios, while maintaining professionalism and composure
- Simple math skills using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Familiarity with MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams
- Ability to grasp computer systems quickly
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
Preferred Experience:
Two or more years of medical office experience - Physical Therapy Clinic or Medical Office Management are a plus.

Compensation:
$18.00 - $21.00 Hourly
