About the roleOur client in medical device manufacturing is hiring an Inventory Audit Clerk focused on data accuracy, analytical review, and control testing . You’ll verify inventory transactions, audit counts, and reconcile system records (ERP/WMS) so materials are traceable, compliant, and audit-ready .
What you’ll do
Audit cycle counts: Perform daily/weekly counts by SKU/location; compare to ERP balances, analyze variances, document root causes, and post approved corrections.
Transaction reviews: Verify receipts, issues, transfers, adjustments, and scrappage are recorded accurately with proper references (PO, WO, MRB).
Traceability checks: Confirm lot/serial/UDI capture at each step; help close gaps to support DHR requirements and inspection readiness.
Receiving validation: Spot-check inbound materials for quantity, lot/serial/UDI, COAs, and expiry; flag discrepancies and assist with timely resolution.
Kitting & backflush audits: Reconcile pick lists and backflush activity to BOM/work orders; investigate mismatches and recommend fixes.
Exception reporting: Run simple inventory reports (e.g., negative on-hand, short-date, quarantine, high variance); summarize trends and follow up on actions.
Data hygiene: Maintain clean item/location data (UoM, barcodes, storage conditions); ensure adjustments follow approvals and are fully documented.
Controls support: Maintain clear audit trails (screenshots, count sheets, signatures); prepare evidence for internal/external audits.
Must-haves
Comfort working in ERP/WMS (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and with handheld scanners.
Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail—able to spot anomalies and trace them through transactions.
Excel skills : filters, sorting, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP; able to build clean, repeatable checks.
Clear written documentation and professional verbal communication.
