Monarch Diagnostics is seeking afull-time, in-person Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Generalist)to join our dynamic team. This role involves performing and reviewing high-complexity tests, including LC/MS urine confirmations and infectious disease assays, in a fast-paced, CLIA-certified laboratory. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.Youll work closely with our technical and quality teams to ensure testing integrity, troubleshoot issues, and help optimize laboratory workflows.   • Perform high-complexity clinical testing, including LC/MS urine confirmations and infectious disease assays, in accordance with SOPs and CLIA regulations
  • Analyze, review, and validate test results prior to release to ensure accuracy and precision
  • Conduct and document quality control procedures and participate in quality improvement activities
  • Assist with test method development, validation, and verification as needed
  • Maintain accurate records, logs, and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Ensure adherence to laboratory safety protocols, PPE requirements, and HIPAA regulations
  • Collaborate with laboratory management and technical staff to resolve operational and analytical issues
  • Support training of new staff or students as assigned
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive and collaborative team environment
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution
  • Valid California CLS license required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a CLIA-certified clinical laboratory
  • Experience in toxicology and LC/MS instrumentation preferred
  • Strong understanding of laboratory quality systems and regulatory standards (CLIA, CAP, COLA, etc.)
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and laboratory information systems (LIS)
