Software Engineer 5 - Ad Connect Foundations

Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.
We launched a new ad-supported tier in November 2022 to offer our members more choice in how they consume their content. Our new tier allows us to attract new members at a lower price point while also creating a compelling path for advertisers to reach deeply engaged audiences.
Our Team
The Ads Platform Engineering creates the ecosystem that spans across the “Pitch to Pay” process. It goes all the way from enabling our sales teams (and other DSPs, resellers) to engage advertisers to run their campaigns on Netflix, and cuts across inventory and order management, campaign execution, ad serving, audience onboarding, targeting and delivery, measurement, reporting and finance.
Our team is new, yet we have enormous ambitions of building highly performant advertising systems and delivering high impact to our business by monetizing our incredible slate of content. As one of the newest entrants in the rapidly growing Connected TV advertising space, we seek to build unique value propositions that help us differentiate from the competition and become a market leader in record time.
The Role
Build horizontal solutions that scale across the Ads org to solve common problems, understanding "build vs buy" tradeoffs of internal and external solutions. These use cases would include, but not be limited too, Public APIs, UI infrastructure, In-App Alerting/Notifications, Ads Knowledge Graph, Data Clean Rooms, Access Control, and more.
Partner closely with other Senior ICs, Eng Leaders, and Product Leaders to find commonalities across the org and build common solutions.
Partner closely outside of Ads as well to understand where there may be existing or similar use cases across the organization
Drive a vision that enables technical leverage via these solutions alongside the product roadmap - effectively balance and deliver upon short term business needs and longer term technical investments
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.
Knowledge of the ad tech and advertising landscape, including programmatic advertising and digital marketing trends.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $100,000 - $720,000.

We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
