Senior Systems Engineer – CONTINGENT - 25-002 – San Diego, California

AUSGAR Technologies has a NEW CONTINGENT opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team of smart and innovative technical team members working in the Point Loma area of San Diego, California.

Take the initiative to lead a team of engineers in developing cutting-edge technology in an R&D environment. Accomplish the critical milestones and end goals for the customer using a myriad of technical, managerial and leadership capabilities. Comfortable working in a team-driven environment.

Job Duties:

• Responsible for developing and designing high-level system architecture, then overseeing the full lifecycle including documentation, client alignment, and transition to implementation.
• Develop, identify, prioritize and oversee development of configurations for program systems.
• Develop router/switch configurations.
• Assist in the development of testing strategies, test cases/plans/reports.
• Support and participate in the execution of software regression tests.
• Evaluate emerging system and network technologies.

• Must have a TS/SCI or be TS/SCI eligible upon hire. 
• IAM/IAT Level II (i.e., CompTIA Security+ CE) certificate desired.
• Bachelor of Science degree with focus in Computer Science/Information Technology or related field from an accredited college/university and 15 years of applicable experience.
• Requires Systems Engineer experience, with a deep understanding of architecture frameworks, planning methodologies, and execution of technical design processes.
• Network routers, switches (CCNA, CCNP or CCIE)
• Linux server administration
• Amazon Web Services
• Database Administration/Development

  Desired experience with:

• Virtual Machine (Vmware, Vcenter, Vsphere)
• IP Networks

Team Leadership:

• Will be leading a team of 5 team members

Approximate travel: 10% 

Salary Range: $145K-160K 

An essential qualification for this position is successfully obtaining a Top-Secret security clearance issued by the Federal Government, which may require successful completion of a background check. 

AUSGAR’s salary range is dependent upon a variety of factors, which include experience, skills, education, certifications and geographical location. Our salary range includes a base salary and excellent benefits package as part of our total compensation.
