Precision Dimensional Inspector — Machined Components
Picture your day beginning on the inspection floor as the first parts roll off the machines. You verify gage calibration, open the traveler, and dive into drawings—translating tolerances and notes into the measurements that will determine product acceptance. From first article through in‑process checks and final verification, you’re the quality gatekeeper for machined parts, assemblies, and incoming materials.
What you’ll do
- Perform thorough visual and dimensional inspections on parts and assemblies to confirm they meet company and customer specifications.
- Read and interpret engineering prints/specifications, applying geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) to real parts.
- Use precision metrology tools—calipers, micrometers, height and bore gages—to collect accurate measurements.
- Complete inspection documentation, including First Article Inspection (AS9102), in‑process, and final inspection reports.
- Identify, record, and communicate nonconforming material, supporting NCR documentation and containment.
- Conduct incoming inspections and maintain precise, audit‑ready quality records in line with AS9100 practices.

What you bring
- 2–5 years of manufacturing quality inspection experience.
- Fluency in reading engineering drawings and specifications.
- Hands‑on experience with standard inspection tools and gages.
- Strong attention to detail and comfort with basic computer applications.
Preferred extras
- CMM programming/operation experience (PC‑DMIS).
- Background in pump, valve, or rotating equipment manufacturing.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM; overtime as needed.
