Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Bookkeeper to join our team, responsible for preparing financial statements and reports with accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with at least one year of bookkeeping experience who values precision in financial record-keeping and thrives in a supportive team setting. This is a full-time position located on-site in Paso Robles.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly financial statements and reports, managing accounts such as general ledger, receivable/payable, cash, sales, and payroll.
• Review contracts, process monthly billing, and monitor accounts receivable to ensure timely payments.
• Prepare and process Social Security reports and sales tax returns on a monthly basis.
• Assist Supervisors with processing and managing employee timecards.
• Maintain accurate and timely financial record-keeping and reporting.
• Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to support financial operations.

Qualifying Specifications:

• Must have own vehicle and maintain a current California driver’s license (driving is required).
• Must be able to provide on-going proof auto insurance.
• Must have an acceptable driving record as determined by criteria established by the Agency’s insurance carrier.
• Must clear fingerprints through the California Department of Justice and FBI.
• QuickBooks experience and at least one year of professional bookkeeping experience

Compensation range is $25 to $27/hour, with expected start pay at $25, DOE.
