Senior Product Engineer (San Francisco)

Were seeking a Product-Minded Senior Backend Engineer with strong coding skills, a passion for creating user-centric experiences, and the ability to deploy and maintain systems at scale. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems, APIs, and infrastructure to support generative AI products. You will own end-to-end development of user-facing features, collaborate with researchers, engineers, designers, and product managers, and build tools that enhance engineering productivity, scalability, reliability, and security.

Key Qualifications :

• 5+ years of engineering experience in diverse technical environments, ideally delivering user-facing products within product-driven organizations.
• Experience across the full software lifecycle: planning, development, production, on-call support, maintenance, and evolution.
• Deep understanding of distributed backend systems, APIs, databases, and security mechanisms.
• Experience with user-facing APIs and system design.
• Proficiency in Golang or Node.js.
• Knowledge of Python / PyTorch for API development wrapping AI models is a plus.
• Familiarity with JavaScript and React for front-end development is a plus.
• Ability to operate effectively in startup environments, demonstrating adaptability and ownership.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, focused on high-quality solutions.
