Our group is looking for a highly motivated Performance Engineer to drive optimization of software design for Apple's latest products, including the next generation of Apple Watch, AirPods, iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Key Qualifications
Strong understanding in one of WiFi, Bluetooth, Thread, or related protocols
Background or research experience in RF, Digital, and Wireless communications
Experience working with wireless sniffers and protocol analyzers to debug and root cause issues
Experience with Python for testing, data analysis, and visualization
Programming in C or C++ is a plus
Knowledge of TCP/IP protocol suite
Description Be a vital Connectivity Firmware Performance team member, where you will work on software design testing and optimization from early prototypes until productization! The work involves devising performance evaluation methodologies on SW/HW prototypes, analyzing logs, and making recommendations for implementing software design based on trade-off analysis at a system & product level. Education & Experience Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience. Masters or PhD preferred Additional Requirements Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $131,500.00 and $243,300.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
