About This Role
The DevOps Technician will be part of the greater DevOps team that supports various install and release activities for the Research & Development function. This role is primarily involved in setting up and maintaining development and test labs along with install or upgrade of software releases in the labs and product platforms. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of DevOps, this role will support design control processes associated with formal software releases and managing test equipment. The DevOps Technician must be able to balance multiple projects, be highly organized and detail-oriented, and complete work of a highly detailed nature. Additionally, the person should be able to prioritize work according to changing situations and requirements and be able to work effectively in a matrixes team structure.
What You Will Be Doing
- Prepare installation instructions and guidelines for building the various lab configurations
- Assemble hardware for the development and test labs and confirm basic hardware/software platform functionality
- Support Research & Development team with experiments or special projects by enabling appropriate hardware/software environment for the experiments
- Install, upgrade, and maintain appropriate software releases across the multiple labs
- Support Senior Manager of DevOps with design control process for software release management and with test/lab equipment management
- Basic administration of tools used within the software development team
- Other duties as assigned
Where You Will Do This Job
- Hybrid - This position will allow the successful candidate to work on a Hybrid work location schedule. They must be based in the greater SF Bay Area and must be able to commute into the RefleXion office in Hayward 1-4 days a week, depending on the role.
What We Need
- Associate degree in computer science or similarly related field or 2-year program at a technical school
- 1+ years' experience in building and maintaining test labs (computers, routers, network configuration etc.) and supporting Operating System and Software installations.
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Experience working with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience writing procedures to document install and configuration activities
- Experience working in Linux environment.

The pay range for this role is $75,000 - $100,000 annually. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. The total compensation package for this position may also include bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable variable compensation.
