Financial Analyst, Technical Infrastructure

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, consulting, a related function, or an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with Core financial planning and analysis (e.g., forecast, close, and financial reporting).
  • Experience working/communicating with executives.
  • Experience with cloud/technical infrastructure.
  • Ability to work in an unstructured environment and manage with ambiguity.
  • Ability to influence and persuade through the use of data.

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. While working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to solve big picture challenges.

From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $113,000-$162,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Develop an understanding of Google’s technical infrastructure and the economics of the business.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert in helping product area business partners understand and influence their technical infrastructure costs, and identify opportunities for product area demand shaping and efficiencies.
  • Maintain and improve near term and multi year models for OpEx, CapEx and reporting governance, including AI/ML
  • Cultivate relationships and collaboration across numerous touch points within TI and present to leadership.
  • Lead projects with cross-functional teams, including but not limited to TI business partners, accounting, corporate finance, product finance, internal audit, systems, and engineering teams.
