Job Description

As a critical member of the Value-Added Services division within the Issuing Solutions Product organization, this role will be responsible for

The ongoing product development and expansion of the GCAS Travel and Digital suite of products which power personalized cardholder communications, for both Visa and our card issuer clients globally. This role involves spearheading the development of new features, improving existing ones, and ensuring the overall functionality of the product.

Key activities include:

  • Leading the product effort to build and manage our roadmap and backlog.

  • Defining business requirements and translating them into product features.

  • Working closely with the development teams to find solutions around challenges.

  • Overseeing the validation and user acceptance testing of new functionality.

  • Managing the agile development process, facilitating meetings, and addressing obstacles.

  • Acting as the subject matter expert and liaison between US product and Bangalore development teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Product Development: Translate product strategy into detailed and actionable product development efforts for GCAS and Travel suite of products.

  • Process Improvement: Establish, document, and refine development and operational processes for the product.

  • Product Engagements: Lead close collaboration with project management and operations to ensure product development tasks are completed on agreed deadlines.

  • Operational Activities: Collaborate with business and technology teams to ensure the systems are operating as expected, resolving issues, and coordinating activities.

  • Product Requirements: Evaluate market demands and lead the development of detailed product requirements, specifications and enhancements.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

The location for this position will be based in Foster City, CA. No relocation package will be available

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
  • Strong leadership, verbal, written, and presentation skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office/CRM, Visio, PowerPoint, tools like Jira/Rally

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Strong project and stakeholder management skills
  • High level of comfort with data, files, and technical communication.

  • Collaborative working style.

  • Experience in Agile development
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills with the ability to resolve conflicts and ensure team collaboration.

  • Risk Management: Ability to identify potential risks and devise strategies to mitigate them

  • Ability to work independently and with broad instructions.



Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to synthesize complex ideas and passion for developing clear, effective, and compelling presentations.

  • Strong data and analytical skills, working knowledge of Excel, Powerpoint and MicroStrategy or Tableau is preferred.

  • Expert knowledge of payments, transaction processing and building out banking experiences.
  • Deep understanding of consumer engagement and automation technology.

  • Motivated to understand the evolving industry context and Visa.

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and foresee market trends and customer needs.

  • Adaptable to different work and projects.

  • Stakeholder Management: Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to interact with and influence decision-makers at all levels.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of international software regulations and compliance standards.

  • International Experience: Proven experience working in an international setting and managing products across different markets.

  • Familiarity with global market trends and customer needs.

  • Multicultural Competence: Ability to work with diverse teams and understand cultural nuances.
  • Experience in building products for different cultural contexts.

  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of the latest technologies and how they can be leveraged to improve the product. This includes AI, Gen AI, machine learning, big data, and cloud computing.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills with a proven track record in leading cross-functional teams to drive product development and management.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 159,100.00 to 230,900.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
