Job Description
Catalina Adventure Tours located in Avalon, California is currently recruiting for part-time Bus Drivers who will be responsible for driving tour buses on a designated route through the inner canyon of Catalina Island. This position has a variable schedule with a down time from December through February. Position leads to Full time employment.
Transportation to Island via Newport Flyer.
In this position your primary job responsibilities include:
• Driving Catalina Adventure Tours bus within and throughout the community on a set route and timetable.
• Recording daily count of passengers.
• Operating the bus in a safe manner and in compliance with state/local traffic regulations.
• Reporting emergencies or accidents to Dispatcher immediately.
• Checking bus for fuel, water, and any apparent defect. Pre-trip and Post-trip checks.
You will also be required to:
• Maintain a professional driving style, presentation and demeanor whenever you are with customers.
• Able to adapt to a change in schedule.
• Maintain strong attendance and punctuality.
• Successfully pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
• Be able to travel on a boat.
You should also have:
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to respond to emergencies efficiently and to make immediate decisions.
• Ability to deal effectively with co-workers, tourists and emergency and rescue personnel.
• Ability to use diplomacy and sound judgment.
• California Class B Commercial passenger endorsement and Air Brakes required. Current Medical card.

• Frequently sit, bend, stand, stoop, kneel and/or lift.
• Exposure to outdoor elements.
• Exposure to fumes and odors.
Pay: $20.00 p/h to start
