IT Software Engineer I

RMC is seeking a Software Engineer I to join our team. The Software Engineer I will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementing software solutions to meet our clients' needs. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure requirements are met and will play a key role in troubleshooting and optimizing existing applications.
**This position is contingent on contract award**
The successful candidate will:
- Design and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance software applications.
- Analyze user requirements and translate them into functional software solutions.
- Write clean, modular, and reusable code with thorough documentation.
- Implement software testing strategies including unit testing and integration testing to ensure code quality.
- Debug and resolve software defects and performance issues.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and apply them into operations and activities.
- Agile Developer Certification or Certified Scrum Developer Certification.
- Security+ Certificate
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on programming languages such as Linuz, Java, C++, or Python.
- Experience with web application development technologies (HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React or Angular) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with database systems (SQL/NoSQL), version control systems (e.g., GIT), and cloud services (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- An active DoD Secret clearance.

Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $83,000 to $115,000 (annually).
