Goldorado Animal Hospital is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join our team in Cameron Park, CA

Our small animal GP hospital is a 2-doctor (looking to add our 3rd!) practice located just outside of Sacramento. We are newly remodeled with new management and a new team. Here we offer premier, full-service care to our patients and clients. Join our team as we continue to strive towards clinical excellence and compassionate patient care.

We value our team as much as we value the animals we care for. Our full-time doctors receive a paid sabbatical of 4 weeks for every 5 years of service as a doctor at our hospital.

Compensation Customized:

• Base Plus Production Bonus compensation ranging from $120,000-$150,000, negotiable based on experience with 22% production.
• Negotiable Bonus Opportunities: Up to $20k Sign-on Bonus OR Relocation Bonus.
• Bonus negotiable based on relocation needs/candidate experience level.
• Professional dues/licensing expenses covered, and separate CE allowance, 401k with employee match.

What to expect at our hospital:

• AAHA accredited
• Electronic records – Cornerstone.
• 80/20 dogs to cats predominantly with one doctor also seeing pocket pets.
• Currently a 2 doctor practice (plus relief), with capacity to increase to 4 doctors.
• 5 exam rooms (includes 1 comfort room for euthanasia) with 1 lift table for big dogs, 1 surgical suite.
• Treatment room with dental area.
• Digital dental and ultrasound, new x-ray, laser therapy.
• Full in-house lab.
• Specialists visit onsite to support doctors and patients.
• Equipment customized to doctor preferences- CapEx dollars allocated annually for hardware and equipment. Let’s discuss equipment important to you.

Scheduling That Prioritizes Work-Life Balance:

• 4 weeks of vacation annually , in addition to dedicated CE days.
• PAID Sabbatical - Every 5 years of serving as a doctor will earn a 4 week paid sabbatical.
• 4 day work weeks. NO WEEKENDS and NO on-call.
• Realistic shifts- Open 8am – 5pm. Our doctors arrive at 8am and typically wrap their day at 6PM.
• Lunch & Catch-up time is built in! We’re closed from 12-1pm.
• 1 surgery day per week typically. Surgical scheduling customized to doctor preference- no surgery on non-surgical days or increase your surgical days as you like.
• All UC/ER needs seen by doctor discretion. All UC/ER requests are handled by our Hospital Manager who scheduled per doctor preference and comfort level.
• Flexible appointment lengths- 30 min standard appt times (15 minutes allowable based on your preference).

Qualifications : Candidate must be a graduate from an AVMA accredited college or have successfully passed the ECFVG certification program or the PAVE certification program.

About Cameron Park, CA:

Located in El Dorado County, California about 30 miles east of Sacramento. This area covers about 8 miles within the county and is home to about 18,000 residents. Here locals enjoy the lush woodlands within the Sierra Nevada foothills as well as access to outdoor activities that include hiking, boating and fishing thanks to Lake Folsom and Cameron Park Lake.
