Summary
SUMMARY: The AHD Receptionist for Alameda Hospital at Park Bridge greets visitors, determines nature of business, answers questions, and directs them as appropriate. Provides information and assistance to visitors and residents. Answers inquiries from the general public. Operates the telephone system to receive incoming calls. Schedules appointments, maintains conference room schedule, receives or sends out messenger/courier items. May assist the business office/accounting specialist with accounts receivable, accounts payable, and resident account functions. Performs related duties as required.DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: NOTE: The following are the duties performed by employees in this classification, however, employees may perform other related duties at an equivalent level. Not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each individual in the classification. 1. First point of contact for visitors and callers. Warmly welcomes on-site visitors, greets them by name and makes them feel important and valued; determines natures of visitors and promptly announces visitor to appropriate staff;' monitors visitor access.
2. Answers incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of caller and forwards call to appropriate personnel or department. 3. Answers a variety of questions about the facility and provides address, directions, and other information 4. Collects and files documents, correspondence, and other printed material; receives sorts, and routes mail; maintain fax machines, copiers, etc. and assist users; take payment for services.5. Assists the business office specialist with accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing and resident account functions. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education:High school Diploma or equivalent. Minimum Experience: One year relevant experience.
