Because we close loans using our money, we have created a great funding platform for our borrowers and loan officers. In addition, we have strategic relationships for the placement and brokering of permanent multifamily and commercial real estate loans. We're looking for an experienced commercial mortgage processor who is passionate about real estate lending and wants to be part of a growing organization. About the Role In this role, you will gather, compile, review, analyze, and present with appropriate recommendations for applications on multifamily or other commercial real estate (CRE) loans. You will perform necessary property and borrower due diligence to ensure that the documentation and information required for the analysis and underwriting of the loans is organized, complete and accurate. You will also assist loan officers and underwriters with the initial analysis of loan inquiries to determine if the requests meet the company's lending criteria. - Partner with loan underwriters for the processing, due diligence, analysis, underwriting and closing of loan requests.
- Review borrower's loan application package, prepare additional information, and convey any issues discovered to the underwriting team.
- Gather, compile, review, and present documents and information to the company's underwriters and assist in their review of loan requests.
- Order, obtain and review various third-party documents and reports, including property financial statements, rent rolls, appraisals, environmental and engineering data, personal credit, title, escrow, and borrowing entity structures.
- Partner with loan underwriters to identify title, insurance, zoning, entity, or other issues that require analysis and resolution.
- Coordinate obtaining documents and information and the review of property insurance and property taxes.
- Communicate and coordinate with the various parties to the loan including, loan underwriters, loan officers, brokers, title agents, escrow agents, legal counsel and other parties.
- Assist with the due diligence process, including, engaging in research and validating documents and information provided.
- Assist in identifying strengths and risks of loan requests, including recommendations for mitigating risks consistent with the company's guidelines.
- Identify exceptions to policy, guidelines, and pricing.
- Partner with loan underwriters to obtain approvals and clearances of the documents, information and reports required for loan approval and funding.
- Assist with loan document preparation and loan closing.
- Assist with post-closing boarding, covenant tracking and servicing of the loans.
- Ensure accuracy and thoroughness of data entry into the client relationship management (CRM) and loan servicing systems.
- Demonstrate compliance with all policies, procedures and regulations that apply to your position and keep up to date on changes.
About You - Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field.
- 4 to 7 years of multifamily and commercial real estate mortgage processing experience.
- Current, working knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the multifamily and commercial real estate lending field.
- Solid credit, lending and transaction knowledge.
- Demonstrate exceptional organizational and time management skills. Ability to take initiative with minimal direction, to work on multiple transactions simultaneously, and to meet deadlines.
- Possess strong analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and work well in a team environment.
- Superior skills in database and spreadsheet use and management.
- Ability to quickly learn, adapt to, and apply new information and processes.
