Job Title: Fabrication Helper
Job Description

Join our team as a Fabrication Helper, where you will play a crucial role in supporting the fabrication department. The primary focus will be on operating CNC machinery, drilling holes, and performing visual inspections with calipers. Your tasks will also include using hand-held grinders and engaging in secondary operations like cutting with saws. This role is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined and open to working with both aluminum and steel materials.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines to drill holes and support the fabrication department.
• Conduct visual inspections using calipers to ensure precision.
• Utilize hand-held grinders for various tasks.
• Handle aluminum and steel materials effectively.
• Support secondary operations, including using hand grinders and cutting with saws.
• Participate in the construction and production processes as needed.

Essential Skills

• Experience in fabrication and machine operation.
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to handle materials and operate CNC machines.
• Mechanically inclined with a strong attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Open to working in a general labor capacity within a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to work 45-50 hours weekly, including Saturdays.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and perform tasks based on them.
• NTMA graduate preferred, but not mandatory.

Work Environment

This position requires working in a heavy manufacturing environment that is open-air and can get hot. Steel toe boots are mandatory, and you will be working outside in the sun in a fast-paced and job-oriented setting. The typical working hours are from 6 AM to 3:30 PM, with occasional Saturday shifts.

This is a Contract position based out of Torrance, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
