Physical Therapist Job Details

• Location: Torrance, CA 90503 (Southern California physical therapy jobs)
• Assignment Type: Travel Physical Therapist
• Setting: Hospital / Allied Health
• Start Date: September 29, 2025
• End Date: December 28, 2025
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (8-hour day shifts)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,350-$2,410
• Caseload: Geriatric focus; up to 6 patients per day (30 productivity points standard)
• Travel Radius: Occasional maximum radius of 50+ miles; clients grouped to minimize drive time

Physical Therapist Qualifications

• Active California Physical Therapist (PT) license
• Minimum 1 year of recent skilled home health or hospital-based physical therapy experience (within the last 3 years)
• OASIS documentation experience required for start of care
• BLS certification (Basic Life Support) required
• Reliable transportation for travel between patient locations in the Torrance, CA area

Physical Therapist Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive physical therapy services to patients in a hospital setting, specializing in women's health, vestibular, pelvic rehab, and geriatric care
• Perform patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions
• Utilize OASIS documentation for start of care and ongoing patient management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on therapy goals, exercises, and home care strategies
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations
