Catering Sales Manager:
Grand Bay Hotel San Francisco is a 4-Diamond hotel nestled along the serene Redwood Shores Lagoon, just 15 minutes from San Francisco International Airport. Known for its tranquil ambiance, the hotel is an ideal destination for both business and leisure travelers.
Guest can enjoy locally sourced cuisine and creative cocktails at the in-house restaurant, Waterside Bar, a 24/7 fitness center, an outdoor pool, and stunning natural views. Located in Redwood City, the Grand Bay Hotel offers a welcoming environment with dedicated staff ready to exceed guest expectations.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Solicitation of new accounts; maintains and strengthens relationships with existing accounts.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
§ Meet with or call individual corporate clients by telephone to solicit annual, weekday and weekend business.
§ Train, resolve problems and provide open communication to newly hired catering associates when appropriate.
§ Meet and greet clients, conduct property tours, and promote facilities and services. Answers client inquiries.
§ Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients.
§ Develop client menus, write contracts and letters, as well as organize all other arrangements as they relate to social and corporate events.
§ Supervise and attend the overall set up and implementation of events and meetings. Communicate with relevant departments to ensure proper servicing of accounts.
§ Prepare and present weekly and monthly Catering/Sales reports.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Extensive knowledge of Food and Beverage etiquette, guest relations and service standards.
Strong interpersonal skills to assess client needs, negotiate pricing and provide overall guest satisfaction. Effectively deal with internal and external guests, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy. Presents a professional appearance and manner and must be proficient in CY/TY a preference.
Benefits to include bonus based on performance, insurance programs, leave programs, 401K and free parking, meals and other fringe benefits. For applicants who will be working in California, this is an overtime eligible position and the anticipated compensation range for the position is $ 85,000 - $87,000 per year - The salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, work location etc. Crescent Hotels is a multi-state employer and the salary ranges indicated herein may not reflect positions that work only in other states.
The salary range for this position is $85,000 to $87,000 annually.
